I guess I noticed the title of my last entry, “what I do”. It dawned on me that what I do is not who I am, and if what I do becomes who I am then I am in trouble. What I am really talking about is identity. The way I see it, it is very important for me as a christian from where I derive my identity. For me the place that I derive my ultimate identity is Who I belong to. I / we as believers have to occasionally (sometimes daily) remind ourselves that we are citizens of heaven and sons of God. Jesus is my adopted brother and I am a joint heir with Him. So you see “what I do has” nothing to do with “what or who I am.” I am doing industrial work but in God’s eyes I am a minister of the Gospel and an ambassador of the Kingdom….. and if you are His, so are you.
